The idea behind the Photo Meetups is to bring together students of different photographic ability along with a professional photographer and to meet at a location that is fun while also being challenging, and of course focused on conservation.
At the completion of most Photo Meetups students have to submit a limited number of their images which are judged by our professional photographers and the winners get gift cards to online photography stores.
We had a great group of students join us for a sunset shoot overlooking the Everglades. We got a chance to photograph a beautiful sunset, learn different settings on their cameras, as well discuss some of the conservation issues that are involved with the Everglades.
This was our first visit to ZooMiami for our Photo Meetups and it was an amazing experience! We had over 15 students and parents and our professional photographers were Marc Serota and Judie Jackowitz. Both of whom have decades of experience photographing and teaching.
WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING
"Thank you so much for organizing this photo shoot! it was amazing and a great opportunity to learn something new and different about sunset photography!"
