Alex Morrison


Alexandra Morrison is a Florida native with a passion for wildlife, photography and science communication. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology and more recently from Montreat College with a Masters of Science in Environmental Education. Alexandra focused her thesis research on using conservation photographs as tools for environmental education in a traditional classroom setting to possibly inspire pro-environmental action in students. In 2017 she conducted a groundwork-setting study using professional conservation photographs to connect students to wild Florida in the classrooms of several Tampa middle schools. She currently lives in Blacksburg, VA and works as a researcher and science communicator for the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as an environmental science professor at Radford University.
